With school starting this week (Elijah on Monday and Alia on Thursday) we took one last trip down to Long Beach. And our friends, the Reeds came with us!!! It was super fun to have Justin, Kristy and Jenna with us! Our kids were so excited to have a friend come with them! It made it extra special.
We didn't do all that much. We hung out at the beach, ate at Super Mex (of course!), walked 2nd Street a bit, ate Rite-Aid ice cream, went to the tidepools in San Pedro (Point Fermin) and took naps! :)
This was our little montley crew! They all had a blast together!

A few family pictures at Point Fermin!

The kids all got special hats. They wore them the whole weekend long...and got lots of compliments from strangers :)

We missed low tide (it was at 6:30am!) at Point Fermin...but we still had a great time throwing rocks in the ocean, looking for shells and sea life. And we even saw a few things!

Here's Alia touching a shell. I'm not sure what it's called...but we have a Hawaii book that's call "Iki, the littlest Ophi'i" And this shell looks like Iki, who is a sea animal called an Ophi'i. They cling to the rocks and "stick to it!" :) So, we just called this an Iki! :) And it was "sticking to" the rock that it was on!
