Crayon Making

Here the kids are getting ready to make some crayons. We took the old broken pieces of their crayon collection and peeled all of the paper off of them! Let me tell you...if you need to pass some time-let the kids peel crayons! They were content and quiet for about 30 minutes! Alia even commented that we were doing a "quiet project".

Then we made different color combinations and put the crayon pieces into a muffin tin. After that it was off to the oven at 250 degrees for about 30 minutes-until the wax was all melted. Once you take it out, just let it sit on the counter while the wax dries out.

Viola! Pop out the wax and you have fun swirly crayons! A good morning activity.

No wonder you are tired! What a creative mommy, even as she is ready to pop! I should take lessons!
