This past month Alia's school. Hurley Elementary, has been running a marathon! They all run a little bit each day and today was the end of the marathon. I've been watching Alia when I pick her up at school, because they do their running at the end of their school day. It's been pretty funny cause most of the kids are running like crazy to finish their laps...and here comes Alia strolling along. She definately isn't a runner...yet? =)
Anyways...here she is mid "run" today. She ran some and walked most. :)
Our local running store "Soul 2 Soul" helped sponsor the even today with a finish line and all the bells and whistles.
Here she comes!! FINALLY finishing her laps! She was one of the last kids to finish...but she finished! (and to her defense...Jason and I are pretty sure she did more laps then she was supposed to today) . The woman on the right in the picture is Alia's teacher, Mrs. Clevenger.
After each mile they have run they get a charm to put on their necklace. Today they got to pick a charm that said 26.
